Practice Manager

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Our Practice Manager is supported by a team of experienced operations managers who together ensure the smooth running and organisation of the surgery. 

 

Patient Servivces Team

Our Patient Services Team includes our reception team and patient support team, and together they are your initial contact point for all enquiries. T 

They provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. They make most of the patient appointments with the GPs, Advanced Practitioners and nurses. 

Apart from meeting you personally, they also receive your telephone calls, make your appointments, arrange repeat prescriptions, and generally try to make your visit go as smoothly as possible. They may need to ask you further details when you telephone or visit the surgery. This is to ensure that we assist you as speedily as possible. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.

Administration Team

We have a large back-office team, who work tirelessly to keep your medical records secure, our I.T. systems functioning, process your prescriptions in a timely manner, and manage the enormous flow of hospital correspondence and referral letters in and out of the practice. With over 1,000 patient contacts per week, there is a lot going on behind the scenes.
